Northeastern University Experiential Treks

Empower the Next Generation: Be a Part of Experiential Treks (E-Trek)!

E-Treks are transformative experiential learning events that enable students to visit a range of organizations throughout the Bay Area to understand and witness skills applied in real-world contexts. E-Treks enable students to explore how successful startups, corporations, nonprofits, and governmental entities develop solutions to real problems. Students gain insight into these organizations and increase their understanding of different career pathways. Additionally, E-Treks are an opportunity to celebrate the uniqueness of the Bay Area and talk about the history and sociopolitical context of this dynamic region.

Why We Do E-Treks:

E-Treks integrate academic learning with real-world business experiences, preparing students for future employment and offering a holistic perspective on their studies. These experiential treks provide opportunities to address real-world challenges across various fields, from business to society, philanthropy, and government.

How E-Treks Work:

E-Treks are 2-hour time commitments that entail a tour of your organization and a discussion i.e., panel or fireside chat with leaders and employees.

  1. Tour the office/campus: During the E-Trek, students will explore your office or campus, gaining insight into your day-to-day operations and how your physical space fosters innovation and collaboration.
  2. Discussion with leaders and employees from the organization: Students will participate in meaningful discussions with your team, delving into key themes such as sustainability, health and wellness, technology, creativity, and ethics. This is an opportunity for your organization to share its insights and inspire future change makers!
